1. Artificial intelligence is perhaps the master scientific problem.
There is no fundamental reason why it is impossible to design
computer programs smarter than people, but judging from the amount
of progress in the last 20 years, it will take a long time.  However,
we probably need one or two Einsteins.

2. The forthcoming computer revolution.  Contrary to all you have
heard, the computer revolution hasn't happened yet, but it will.

3. The intellectual image of technology has been distorted by
the doomsayers.  However, computers are not the only area in
which fundamental technological progress can be made.

I am very disappointed by the slow progress in my lifetime.
